How can you increase circulation without renovating space? This session describes analysis and experiments with merchandising and analysis drawn from retail stores to increase circulation. Examples drawn from large, small, urban and rural libraries.
Before each experiment, you must complete a lab inspection. Are conditions safe? Is the right equipment available, maintained, and calibrated? Are emergency procedures in place if something goes wrong? Supporting creativity in libraries is no different. This presentation provides best practices for supporting creativity in libraries, including examples and challenges.
