Wednesday October 16, 2024 5:00pm - 7:00pm EDT
During the conference, a team will be collecting oral histories about the experiences of library staff that have encountered book challenges and other types of censorship efforts across the state. This could include objections to programs and displays as well. If you have a story that you are open to sharing, we would like to schedule time to interview you.

Interviews will run up to 45 minutes and be recorded in an audio format. Options for anonymizing your interview will also be made available. Detailed project information will be shared with participants.

Please sign up here. Feel free to contact Hope Kelly at kellyh3@vcu.edu for further information or to schedule an interview.

Don’t feel comfortable talking about your story in person? We have a survey version that you can fill out here. The form closes December 1, 2024.
